Well this is extremely exciting indeed! It has been a relatively quiet year for new AV amplifiers and merchandise, however, the wait looks like it’s going to be well worth it as Arcam release it’s brand new lineup of unrivalled’musical sounding’ amplifiers.

The elderly AVR550 and AVR850 will be replaced, but the AVR390 will last (for now) in a new reduced price of just #1499 – a deal for anyone going into the world of proper home cinema. The new AVR10, AVR20 and AVR30 all boast Dirac Live, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced, among HDMI 2.0b and HDCP2.2. In true Arcam style if you’re eager to play music during your surround sound system then you’re not left with Bluetooth (which I don’t recommend if you’re trying to find the best audio quality), GoogleCast (much better ) or Arcam’s MusicLife streaming (best), now all standard throughout the range.
